The lack of replenishment during breakfast left a lot to be desired. several food warmers were empty and it took far too long for additional options to be brought out, which could be frustrating if you're on a schedule. one of the elevators was out of service, which might not be ideal for those not keen on taking the stairs—especially when they have uneven steps leading to potential ankle twists.

we had a lovely stay at the washington mayfair. the staff were incredibly friendly, especially with our son. the room was spotless and nicely arranged. we were also thrilled with the surprise cake plate they organized for his birthday! it's conveniently located too, just 30 minutes from the london eye and 20 minutes to buckingham palace.
